Transcribe

Speeeak writes down what you said – on our server, without third-party providers.

How it works

After recording (or after creating the link), click “Transcribe”. After a few seconds the text appears below the recording; “Copy text” puts it onto your clipboard.

The text is stored with the message and is also shown on the listening page – handy for recipients who cannot listen right now, and for searching your message list.

What you should know

  • The transcription runs on our server in the EU (Whisper), not at a third-party provider.
  • German, English and many other languages are recognised automatically.
  • Numbers, names and technical terms can be off – the text is an aid, not a record.
  • No speech recognised (only noise)? Then the field stays empty.

The API also offers transcription without storing anything: POST /api/v1/transkript. See API.
