Privacy and data processing agreement
What happens to recordings and data, when you need a data processing agreement and how you sign it with a single click.
The principles
- Servers in the EU. All recordings, texts and account data are stored on servers in the European Union. No third countries, no sharing with advertising networks.
- Nothing is uploaded until you want it. The recording stays on your device until you press “Create link”.
- Automatic deletion. After 7 days (Plus and Pro: 90, Business: 365) the message is gone – file and database record. Deletions are logged, without content.
- No tracking, no ads. Speeeak only sets technically necessary cookies (session, protection against forgery) – which is why there is no cookie banner either.
- Transparency. The full privacy policy is on speeeak.io – with a short summary at the top.
What is the data processing agreement for?
As soon as you process data of other people through Speeeak – messages visitors record for you via the widget, entries from forms – you are the controller and Speeeak is your processor (Art. 28 GDPR). The law requires a contract for this. At Speeeak it is a click-through agreement: no paper, no signature.
How to sign it
- Account → Account → “Sign data processing agreement” (or follow the notice under Widgets/Landing pages).
- Check company, address and authorised representative (pre-filled from your order).
- Read the contract text, tick the two boxes, “Sign agreement”.
You immediately receive the PDF with signing record (time, IP address, browser, checksum of the text) by e-mail and can find it at any time under Account → Data processing agreement. The record replaces the signature – so the agreement is verifiable.
The agreement contains the technical and organisational measures (TOM), the list of subprocessors (hosting) and the usual obligations of both sides. The public template: speeeak.io/avv.
What you need to do yourself
- Add Speeeak to your privacy policy (voice message service, data processing, servers in the EU, retention period).
- Enter your privacy policy link in the widget and on landing pages – visitors see it in the consent sentence.
- Keep entries and widget messages only as long as you need them – deleting takes one click in your account.
Take your data with you or delete everything
Both at any time, without asking support: Export data and delete account.
